Instrument Rate offers the advantage to any qualified Private Pilot or Commercial
Pilot to fly in extreme weather conditions, by completing this course you will be able
to navigate and land successfully in any weather conditions. To obtain Instrument

Rating you require the following:

• Private Pilots License, Night Rating and pass IR exam.
• Pass all exams written in the SA-CAA.
• Successfully complete 50 hours of cross country flights and 40 hours of instrument
• flights.
• Pass a practical flight test with a Grade 1 Designated Flight Examiner (DFE).
